Introduction
Al Aqsa University (AU) and Al Quds University (AQ) have signed agreement with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to implement the Palestinian Youth Sports League Incubator (PYSL) in West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and Gaza Strip, funded by the Japanese government. The project aims at establishing a sustainable children and youth sports league in the state of Palestine that services both males and females from the ages of 7 until 17. This community level grassroots-based league will be a feeding system for local youth & sports clubs, as well as national federations.



Assignment Objective
Al-Quds University and AL- Aqsa University is seeking a suitable and a qualified candidate for the position of The PYSL Incubator coordinator. The PYSL Incubator coordinator will contribute to the implementation of all the activities of the PYSL incubator.
Under the primary supervision of the Incubator Director at the PYSL and the secondary supervision of the field coordinator at UNDP/PAPP, the incubator coordinator will provide project support services, ensuring high quality, accuracy and consistency of work. The incubator coordinator will be responsible to:







Tasks and Responsibilities

The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all activities relating to the following tasks:
Ensure the successful implementation of the incubator through preparing project implementation plan and providing adequate following up on a daily basis for the project activities.
Ensuring all incubator activities are implemented in a timely matter
Networking with potential partners, including Federations, Sports Clubs, Palestine Olympic Committee, Ministry of Education, other universities sports departments, etc.
Responsible for managing the incubator team (including local coordinators, volunteers, etc.)  and following upon on daily assignments.
Responsible for managing all season play and individual as well as team tournaments.
Managing financial issues and preparing procurement plan, financial reports incompliance with donor’s regulations and finance office regulations.
Preparation of progress reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, as required.
Providing support to enhance and develop partnerships with the private sector as potential sponsors.
Ensure monitoring & reporting of all activities, including collecting and providing relevant data
Coordinating and participating in project meetings, activities, tournament, etc.
Responsible for ensuring the issuing of announcements, letters of intent, purchase orders, etc.
Maintain an effective filing and record keep systems of the different activities in the different Governorates
Organize meetings with the local coordinators, volunteers and stakeholders as necessary
Develop and follow up media coverage and outreach plan Keeping the incubator director, UNDP, and board informed about project status and issues that may impact project implementation.
Any other tasks requested by the incubator director.

Minimum Requirements
A Bachelors. Degree in sports, physical education, or similar field.
Experience in sports or project management is an asset, preferred working with international NGO’s.
Effective communication skills.
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
Very good technical reporting skills.

Time Frame:
The duration of the assignment is 7 months (with possible extension based upon availability of resources); the coordinator shall work 5 days/ week, 7.5 hours per day
