Committee details:
1) A committee becomes official when there are 5 members and an assigned leader/chair. TWO out of the five have to currently reside on the west side of the Missouri river. The other THREE have to be east river residents.
2) MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS: must be 14-24 and currently living in South Dakota
3) The leader of the committee MUST be a part of the community that is affected by the issue that the committee is dedicated to. Members DO NOT have to have corresponding identities to be a part of a committee. Anyone can join any committee as long as they meet membership qualifications as determined above. Allies are encouraged to join!
4) As a member of a committee, an individual is required to show up to the committee's monthly meetings (virtual). Regular meeting dates/times will be determined by the committee's leader. Communication with the committee leader is mandatory when one is expecting to be absent from a meeting.
5) Individuals can be a member of multiple committees. They will be expected to attend the monthly meetings of each committee they are a member of. Sign up for committees based on what you have the capacity for (if you wouldn't be able to attend 3 meetings a month, don't sign up for 3 committees).
