Winter Welcome: Wish List & Gift Card Drive

Thank you for your interest in the Winter Welcome campaign. While the campaign has concluded, you can still contribute much-needed in-kind donations and gift cards to support refugee families by emailing us at SanDiego@Rescue.org.

This holiday season, give refugee and asylum-seeking families a 'winter welcome' with much-needed in-kind donation items as well as gift cards which allow families to purchase exactly what they need.

How it works:

1. Sign up as a Winter Welcome participant using this Google form. Sign up individually or as part of a group!

2. You will receive an email from our team with information about a family in need and how to help with a wish list or a gift card donation.

3. For wish list items, please include an itemized list of donations and copies of receipts to us via email. Please save your receipts, so that the IRC can issue you a tax receipt once the items are received.

Sponsor an individual or small family wish list: We will match you with a single individual or couple with wish lists ranging between $100 - $350

Sponsor a larger family's wish list*: We will match you with a family of 4-6 (typically parents and 2-4 children) with wish lists ranging between $300 - $700

Help us get to the finish line: Purchase a single item off a Wish List and help share lists with just a few items left with others in your network who might like to help complete them

Purchase a Target or Walmart gift card(s): This allows the family to purchase items they need most on their own, including items like cleaning supplies, clothing, and groceries. Both physical and e-gift cards are accepted.

Make a financial contribution to match the estimated value of a family's wish list
