The Bellevue PTSA Council offers the Alice Hurd Memorial Scholarship to one high school senior at each of the six Bellevue School District high schools to recognize volunteering excellence.  The scholarship amount is $1,000.00 and will be paid directly to the U.S. college or university that the recipient is attending to cover the cost of tuition or room & board.  Applicants will be evaluated by PTA members in Bellevue PTSA Council Scholarship Committee.
In email with student name, high school and scholarship name in subject line, attach as one PDF a scanned copy of the documents requested to bpcscholarshipcommittee@gmail.com.  Unofficial copies are acceptable.  Transcript of volunteer hours from x2Vol must be submitted for this scholarship.  Letters of recommendation can be scanned and emailed by applicant or emailed directly to scholarship committee by teacher (must reference student name, high school name and scholarship name in subject line).  Letter of recommendation previously written for applicant's college applications can be submitted.  New letters are not required.
The Application deadline for 2019-20 school year is Friday, May 1, 2019 at 11:59 pm.

Applicant certifies that replies to all foregoing statements are true and accurate to the best of his/her knowledge. Also, applicant agrees that if he/she is the recipient of the scholarship and  does not use the scholarship money for the intended purposes (tuition, text books, room and board) by January 1, 2021 OR if receives a full scholarship from another source by that date, recipient will return the funds to the Bellevue PTSA Council’s scholarship fund. *
