ILCA Dormant Pruning Workshop - Call for Trainers
The ILCA Dormant Pruning Workshop is on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the NIU Naperville Conference Center in Naperville, IL. The workshop begins with indoor instruction on both trees and shrubs, followed by extensive hands-on outdoor instruction. The workshop is a half-day in Spanish and English.

Schedule:
7:15 - 11:30 a.m.    Pruning in SPANISH
12:15 - 4:30 p.m.    Pruning in ENGLISH 

Trainer Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and instruct a group of 5-10 participants in basic pruning techniques, reinforcing what was learned in the indoor instruction.
  • Attend orientation prior to the workshops — Spanish (7:15 a.m.) or English (12:15 p.m.)
  • Sign a Liability Release Form
  • Bring your own tools (hand pruners, loppers, pole saw and a folding saw) labeled with your company name.
  • Wear your own safety gear (hard hat and safety glasses) throughout the hands-on portion of the workshop.
  • Wear what you want as long as it meets safety standards for pruning.
In exchange for the time and knowledge you will be sharing with our attendees, the ILCA will:
  • Provide all trainers with a complimentary lunch
  • Provide trainers with a stipend of $25
  • Award 3.5 CEU’s towards your Certified Arborist renewal
