1. Each entry must have a poster, sign, or banner to represent who they are. The poster, sign, or banner can be attached to the float or car, or may be carried by a member of your group and must be legible and big enough for viewers to read or understand.

2. No decorations, costumes, dance, songs, attire, etc. which are in bad taste, culturally insensitive, sexually suggestive (This includes Penis Candy or anything of that sort. Don't screw it up for everyone else.) or explicit, or otherwise not in the spirit of Halloween. This is a family-oriented event, primarily for all the people of our community, and entries that do not conform to that standard will be removed from the line-up.

3. The contact person listed on your entry form will inform all participants in your entry as to your entry status and will tell everyone where to meet to line-up. Please also tell each participant the name of the organization which you listed on the entry form.

4. Any performance that stops the parade must be limited to 30 seconds. The police will enforce this to keep the parade moving.

5. For the safety of everyone, an adult must supervise all children who may be in your entry. No entry will be allowed to start the parade unless there is a supervising adult present. Make sure children do not get on or off vehicles until it has come to a complete stop. Participants may not sit on the hoods or roofs of vehicles.

6. In case of inclement weather, plan on additional protection. The parade will go on unless there are severe weather conditions

7. All vehicles will need to have insurance in order to participate in the parade.

8. All Floats will be required to provide at least 6 volunteer ‘Walkers’ for crowd control beside their float. They will be required to walk beside the float and help keep people back from the floats. Any floats that do not bring their own walkers will not be allowed to participate.

9. All parade vehicles shall be operated by a licensed driver in good standing. Drivers acknowledge that proof of license and registration will be required prior to participation and are subject to testing for impaired driving, which may include breath alcohol testing.

Waiver and Release:

By clicking submit below, I agree that I have read the Avenues Halloween Parade requirements, rules and regulations. I agree to comply with all policies, rules and regulations governing participation in the Avenues Halloween Parade. I further agree my organization/individual(s) shall hold harmless and indemnify the Avenues Alliance and their representatives, successors, agents and employees from any liabilities, injuries or damage of any kind including but not limited to attorney fees and other costs of responding to or defending acclaims or litigation which may occur from the organization/individuals participation in the annual parade.
