Spring Into School Gardening at Washington Youth Garden
Interested in learning more about about techniques for taking care of your school garden? Have questions about gardening? Need supplies to kick off the growing season of your garden? Join us on our rain dateSunday, March 24th* from 12:00pm-1:30pm at the Washington Youth Garden to jump-start the spring growing season in your school garden! Current Educator Coaching Program schools arrive at 11:00am for cohort support and community building. 
  • Free supplies to prepare your garden for the upcoming season including straw mulch, compost, spring crop seeds (from Share-A-Seed) and cover crop seeds**, and spring seedlings (kale, collards, tatsoi, chard, strawberry starts)**
  • Training at 11am on spring / summer school garden planning and preparing garden beds for spring planting (direct sowing / transplanting)
  • Network with your fellow educators from across D.C.
