Application SPF Staff Travel (incoming)
Complete this form in case you are a UG faculty applying for funding to support the incoming mobility of an academic staff member of one of the UG non-European Strategic Partners. This call for applications is part of the UG Strategic Partnership Framework (SPF), coordinated by the Department of International Strategy and Relations (ISR).

Selected Partner staff receive a (partial) allowance for travel and/or subsistence.

Important:
  • Allowances are for academic staff mobility from the Partner to UG
  • The UG faculty host applies on behalf of the Partner academic staff (beneficiary)
  • Allowances consists of a 50-50 UG Central/UG Faculty contribution 
  • SPF grants provide seed funding for researchers to connect, but may not be sufficient to cover all costs related to the mobility
  • Beneficiaries preferably hold a PhD degree and be affiliated to the Partner for at least another six months after their scheduled SPF-sponsored mobility
  • Eligible applicants cannot before have received an SPF grant for travel to UG
  • UG Faculty contributions may be secured by the applicant from Faculty international offices or the applicant's own department/institute, but this must be clear at the time of application
  • Beneficiaries may combine the SPF Staff Travel allowance with other types of funding (e.g. from the Partner)
  • Allowances and number of positions are maximized and may be different for each Partner
  • This type of mobility is not available for all SPF Partners

Evaluations
  • ISR Regional Coordinators and SPF Academic Ambassadors will evaluate and select applications
  • Proposals should make clear reference to how the mobility will contribute to one or more of the Key Objectives of the SPF 
Call dates:
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, with selection and awarding of grants announced in rounds. The deadlines for each round are roughly as follows:
  • 1 December
  • 1 March
  • 1 June
  • 1 September
