Additional information on our protocols:
Arrival for In-person Programs
In order to comply with new safety guidelines regarding social distancing, complete and submitted health screening forms and temperature checks are required when anyone takes part in any In-person  programs.

Participants must have completed a health screening form at arrival.  No participant will be admitted to a program without that completed virtual form on the day of the program.

Face Masks
All BJ staff are required to wear face masks during In-person programming.

All participants will be required to wear face masks throughout the program.

Social Distancing

We recognize that physical distancing is not always easy, but it is necessary. We expect, and continue to ensure, participants remain six feet apart for any in-person event. If you cannot abide by these guidelines will be asked to leave.

Exposure

If someone tests positive for COVID-19, it is their responsibility, and that of the testing facility, to report this information to the Health Department. The person, or a city contact tracer, may then contact BJ if we are noted as a site of possible exposure. We would then use the COVID-19 screening forms to support contact tracing to others who were in the exposure zone.

Stay Safe

These general guidelines offered to the public remain:

• Stay home: Unless you are younger, healthy, and an essential employee of an essential business or institution, or attending in-person school, you should work from home, and only go out for provisions of food, medicine, critical medical care, or for fresh air and exercise, and then only with social distance between you and anyone outside of your household.
• Continue to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath.
• Should you detect symptoms: self-isolate.
• Should your symptoms continue for more than 48 hours: continue to self-isolate and contact your healthcare provider for further direction.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced new guidelines allowing travelers to New York to “test out” of the mandatory 10-day quarantine for asymptomatic individuals. Travelers from states that are contiguous with New York are exempt from the travel advisory; however covered travelers must continue to fill out the Traveler Health Form. Essential workers will continue to be exempt as well. The guidance also applies to any person who has traveled to CDC Levels 2 and higher Health Notice country under the COVID risk assessment.

For any traveler to New York State from a noncontiguous state, US territory or CDC level 2 and higher country, the new guidelines for travelers to test-out of the mandatory 10-day quarantine are below:

For travelers who were out-of-state for more than 24 hours:
Travelers must obtain a test within three days of departure, prior to arrival in New York.
The traveler must, upon arrival in New York, quarantine for three days.
On day 4 of their quarantine, the traveler must obtain another COVID test. If both tests comes back negative, the traveler may exit quarantine early upon receipt of the second negative diagnostic test.

For travelers who were out-of-state for less than 24 hours:

The traveler does not need a test prior to their departure from the other state, and does not need to quarantine upon arrival in New York State.
However, the traveler must fill out our traveler form upon entry into New York State, and take a COVID diagnostic test 4 days after their arrival in New York.
