Survey into Ethnic Equity in FE

The critical lack of Black* leaders in Further Education is damaging the attainment levels of Black students at college and as they enter the workplace. This is a crisis and we must act now to address it.

The Ethnic Equity in Education campaign, sponsored by Black Leadership Group and supported by leading bodies in education, has two aims:

  • To address the chronic under-representation of Black communities in the FE colleges workforce at all levels
  • To act to strengthen the vital relationship between staff representation and student success
Today, we’re asking you to please complete our short survey in partnership with FE News as part of our campaign. Your participation will be anonymous and it will support an important report due for publication in early 2024.

Section One of the survey will gather background on you, in Section Two we will delve deeper into your thoughts and possible solutions for Ethnic Equity in FE.

* BLG uses ‘Black’ as an inclusive definition for people from ethnically diverse backgrounds who share a lived experience of the effects of racism.
