Iowa Chapter Hike at Whiterock Conservancy
WHEN:  Saturday October 5, 2024 @ 10:00 AM

WHERE: Whiterock Conservancy, 1523 140th St., Coon Rapids, IA

Whiterock Conservancy is a 5,500 acre, nonprofit land trust dedicated to providing educational and recreational opportunities for the public, improving and protecting the land through conservation, and demonstrating sustainable farming methods. There are over 40+ miles of hiking, running, mountain biking, and equestrian trails.

At Whiterock Conservancy, we will meet at the far south end at the STAR FIELD CAMPGROUND where there are restroom facilities and the beginning of the Little Dipper Trail trailhead.  If we do the Little Dipper Trail, Big Dipper Trail and Shooting Star Trail we can get in about 6.5 miles. We can lengthen or shorten the hike as the group decides.

NOTE: if you use Whiterock Conservancy address on Google, you'll end up at the opposite end of the park, so use the 1523 140th St. address.  For more details, see this Trail Map
