A Critical Incident Debrief is an intervention space for educators experiencing a crisis which is impacting their well-being and which cannot be resolved through other avenues.  The purpose of this intervention is not to provide therapy, but to provide support to ameliorate the negative consequences of the presenting situation while making plans to ensure ongoing safety and well-being.  This is achieved by working with educators to process their experiences, reviewing and integrating coping skills, and providing referrals.
