The Emory University Rollins School of Public Health (RSPH) is now accepting applications for the Infectious Disease Epidemiology (ID EPI) Certificate program, which is available to MPH & MSPH students in all RSPH departments.
Infectious disease epidemiology incorporates the fundamental principle that a person’s risk of infection often depends on the disease status of another person or disease prevalence at the population level. Therefore, events are not independent, violating a key assumption of classic epidemiological methods and requiring a different set of methods to approach infectious diseases.
Students in the Certificate in Infectious Disease Epidemiology program will learn how to apply epidemiological methods to study and address infectious diseases and critically assess the science and public health interventions for infectious disease control.
To earn this certificate, students must (1) be accepted into the certificate program and (2) complete all certificate requirements by graduation.
