As'Salaamu Alaikum and Hello! You are currently in our case management inquiry form: which means that you are interested in getting connected to a HEART team member to support you with any of your needs related to sexual/domestic violence, reproductive health, and perhaps some general questions about sex or your body. We do want to state that we ARE NOT a direct service organization. We do not do long term case management. Instead, we could connect you to resources or other supports that best match your inquiry.

We are a team of Muslim social workers, public health educators & researchers, attorneys, a chaplain, and more! Our team is committed to being trauma-informed and survivor-centric. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where we Respond with RAHMA, while gathering basic information about your needs and wants.

PLEASE NOTE | MANDATED REPORTING:

HEART is committed to survivor advocacy, and a part of that is to be transparent. In working in the field of gender-based violence and sexual health education, we want to disclose that HEART staff are considered mandated reporters. Our role is not only to commit to confidentiality, but also safety.

Further, we want to disclose and share that we understand the limitations and barriers of mandatory reporting and how it can further cause harm in our communities. We hope to exhaust all levels of resources and support before we are mandated to file a report.

What this service is NOT:

-We DO NOT give Fatwas or religious advice
-We DO NOT provide therapy and/or counseling services
-We DO NOT do long term case management

What this service IS:

-We maintain privacy
-We provide resources, information, and support
-We offer referrals for other trained professionals like trauma informed therapist, lawyers, hotlines, and more.
-We offer medically accurate health information
-If you are need of direct service case management support, we can connect you to organizations that are local to you.
-We have a survivor care fund should you need financial support for any number of needs, including housing, transportation, child supplies, legal services and more.
