Do you consider yourself a mushroom photographer? *
Do you already own a dehydrator, capable of dehydrating mushrooms until they are cracker-dry? *
Would you be willing to collect soil samples from your locality for eDNA analysis? This would take about a couple of hours (including drying and shipping prep) and would be required a few times each year. Because a single soil sample may outline 1,000 species of fungi, this would be beneficial for the project. But it is by no means a requirement, and we are just as happy to accept macrofungi only.
*
Are you willing to mail in your own specimens or would you need assistance with postage costs?
*
What is your motivation for collecting macrofungi?
*
Is there anything else we should know about you before the start of this project?

Our PI Stephen Russell wants to thank you for your support!! We appreciate your contributions to community science and the California Network!
