We are excited to invite your club/school to compete in our LION CITY CLASSIC - GYMNASTICS INVITATIONAL 2021 running Friday 30th April - Sunday 2nd May 2021.

After a year of hiatus due to the pandemic it's time to get back on the gym floor and enjoying the art of performance with fellow athletes from clubs around the country.

This year's LCC will be running an exciting mix of MAG & WAG events across the 3 days offering opportunitties to compete using both the Australian Level Program (ALP) & the Singapore Levels Program (SLP).

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

This is a preliminary expression of interest. If you could provide us with rough estimates of numbers per level and discipline this will help us to better manage schedules, rotations and group categories.

NB: If you have athletes interested in competing WAG/MAG FIG or MAG levels 10 and FIG please let us know, we will do our best to accommodate this if we have the numbers to support it.

AWARDS FORMAT

The purpose of this event is to offer a fun and friendly reintroduction to competition and performance. After a year away from competition during covid and the distrubtions to training the pandemic has caused, this event is about enjoying the competition experience.

Levels 1-5 - Judged Ribbon Style Event
Routines are judged on each piece of apparatus. Each routines is awarded a colour based on a score range.
All athletes are awarded a medal (bronze, silver or gold) based on their average score for all apparatus

Levels 6+ - Traditional Judged Competition
Individual awards for places 1-3 and all around awards for places 1-5

Best Performers
For each piece of apparatus and the all around the top scoring routines will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.

Team Event
Teams placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each level will be awarded a team trophy. Top 3 scores for each piece of apparatus are counted towards the team score.

ENTRY CRITERIA

Clubs may send individuals or teams, a minimum of 3 gymnasts are required to form a team, with a maximum of 6 gymnasts.  Team scores will be comprised of the top 3 scores per apparatus. Clubs will eligible to furnish a B team for each level if capacity allows.

In interest of organising a tentative schedule please submit your EOI with your maximum number of athletes in each level.

Due to covid restrictions we have a maximum capacity per competition session.
