Drop anchor! Body-based and trauma-informed approaches to calming and soothing someone in emotional distress - Registration

ISEEN Online Presents:

Wednesday, November 15, 2023 - 7 PM ET/4PM PT

Presenter: Leah Rockwell, Licensed Professional Counselor

Description: This one hour workshop will guide you through what is referred to in the field of trauma work as "bottom up" approaches to calming the body in order to regulate one's emotions. Echoing the tenets of experiential education, "body to brain" approaches posit that true healing and shifts occur most profoundly when one's whole self (mind, body, and spirit) is fully engaged in the learning and healing process. Whether you're responding to a student in distress when in the field or need a midday reset during a stressful day of teaching, these anchoring and grounding techniques will bring you (and your students) back into safe connection with your body and emotions.

Pricing: $20 for members*/$30 for non-members

*Leadership Circle School employees - no cost

The session will be recorded and shared with all registrants.
