Department of Special Education SNDT Women’s University invites applications from women candidates for Certificate Programme in Shadow Teaching.

 A shadow teacher is a bridge between a class teacher and a special educator, helping the child with communication, social skills, and academic work, to enable the child study better and overcome difficult situations in class.

 A shadow teacher ensures that the lessons taught in a classroom are understood by the child

 Focusing on the strengths of the child and all that she/he is capable of doing; leading to better development of the child.

 The child in this process is guided and trained to work independently after being monitored by the shadow teacher for a period of time.
