Hot Plates: Climate Change and Agriculture
Over the next century, the world is expected to experience a rise in both temperatures and sea levels . During this program, you can join Park Interpreter Rob in Martial Cottle Park to learn about the natural features that made the Santa Clara Valley an agricultural hub, and how the excess of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere will affect crops and livestock in the present and future.
Location, Date, and Time.
This program will occur on August 14th from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. The meeting location will be outside the Martial Cottle Park visitor center, located at 5283 Snell Ave, San Jose, 95136. There will be a small amount of walking on paved, outdoor paths during this program, so please make sure to bring comfortable walking shoes, as well as some sun protection like a hat or sunglasses.

Parking is available in the park and along Chynoweth Avenue.
