MPCS Placement Exam Registration

This registration form is for the SPRING 2023 QUARTER PLACEMENT EXAMS ONLY.

All new MPCS students MUST take placement exams OR enroll in MPCS 50101 Concepts of Programming and/or MPCS 50103 Discrete Math. PLACEMENT EXAMS CAN BE TAKEN ONLY ONCE.

If you have taken previous CS coursework at the University of Chicago (CMSC or MPCS only), please make sure to check with us if placement exams are required.

Non-MPCS students must take and pass the placement exam(s) that are the prerequisites for any requested courses. Approval to register will not be given without passing the required exam(s).

Please note: MSCAPP students are NOT allowed to take the programming placement exam in R.
