#Democracydrinks: Where Do Human Rights Stand in Elections?
2024 is a special year for Lithuania – three elections will invite citizens to actively participate and express their will.

Open Lithuania Foundation invites you to the third #Democracydrinks meeting on April 24, 2024, at 6:30 PM. This time we ask: Where do human rights stand in elections?

At #Democracydrinks we will seek answers to the questions

- How are human rights reflected in election programs?
- What can we do to make human rights a priority in election campaigns?
- How can we ensure that human rights are respected after the elections?
- Safety - first?

Venue: Piano Man Bar, Islandijos g. 1, Vilnius
The event will be held in English.

ABOUT THE INITIATIVE:

@Democracydrinks events are held in more than ten different countries around the world, bringing together freedom-loving citizens every month. In Lithuania, these meetings take place on the third Wednesday of each month.

The events are attended by active people from NGOs, international institutions, think tanks, national governments and representations, academia, public relations consulting companies, social enterprises and active citizens.

#DemocracyDrinks is a great way to make new connections and socialize with (un)familiar people, discuss ideas and plan actions that exist in civil society, and promote inspiration and communication in order to achieve common goals.

Invite your friends and colleagues who care about values such as democracy, the rule of law, human rights and their protection.

Currently, #DemocracyDrinks are held in Brussels, Berlin, Budapest, Copenhagen / Aarhus, Helsinki, Kathmandu, London, Montreal, The Hague, Washington, Zurich and Vilnius.

Filming and photography will take place during the event.
