Please read carefully the descriptions below to determine which opportunity would be a best fit for you.

Cleaning Team:
Responsibilities include giving food and water, disinfecting surfaces and cages, cleaning the litter boxes, changing blankets, cleaning dishes, remove dust with broom/mop, monitor abnormal behavior/symptoms, play and socialize with the cats.

***Available shifts in this team are currently limited. Applications will be kept on a waitlist.

Medical Team:
Responsibilities include administering medication, give fluids, force-feed, take the temperature and promptly check the health of all cats in each room and caging if necessary.

***Please note that trainings for selected new volunteers will start in May/June 2024.

Transport Team- Vet Appointments (URGENT NEED):
Help transport cats to the veterinary. Help may be needed to transport donated food and litter for the shelter, items for fundraising, etc. Please note that if you do not own a vehicle or cannot use or rent one at your own expense, we ask that you apply for another volunteering opportunity.

Socialization Team:
Responsibilities include evaluating the character and level of socialization of the cats, maintaining files/records and working with each animal to regain confidence in humans through socialization techniques. *Prior experience with anxious and unpredictable cats is REQUIRED*

Grooming/Nail Cutting Team:
Responsibilities include trimming and clipping of nails, brushing to detangle hair as well as hygiene services (toothbrushing, eye & ear cleaning, bathing, haircut, etc.). Certification may be required.
