Readings@Tanjong is a bi-monthly (once every two months) event featuring the literary arts in Penang. It is a long-term community engagement project designed to provide a platform for Penang-based poets and writers to share their works with a wider audience. While Penang hosts its annual George Town Literary Festival in November, it is essential to recognise the need for more avenues for poets, writers, and authors to grow and develop their skills and to encourage engagement and readership of local works. In this regard, Readings@Tanjong acts as a catalyst to support the literary arts community with regular events, with a vision to create a sustainable writing ecosystem in Penang.
