Virginia June Trip - State Legislature Primary
Thank you so much for taking the time to fill-out this travel sign-up form. The entire Virginia State Legislature is race is up for reelection this year and the primary is crucial. Consequently, Common Power is traveling from June 16th to June 21st to support three progressive women of color on in Arlington and Richmond in partnership with New Virginia Majority. 

Volunteers are expected to pay their own travel expenses. We will arrange carpools between the hotel and our work locations for all who indicate they're interested. You need to arrange ground transportation to and from the airport.

Flight Logistics:

For those interested in traveling to Arlington, our team leads from Seattle will be taking Delta Flight 2088 to Dulles Airport (IAD), arriving at 4:52 pm on June 16th. You are free to book any flight that suits you best. The first group meeting will take place on June 16th at 7:30 pm to allow everyone to get to know each other. The first official workday will start on June 17th, starting at 8:30 am.

For those interested in traveling to Richmond, our team leads from Seattle will be taking Delta Flight 2764 to Richmond Airport (RIC), arriving at 4:34 pm on June 16th. Again, you are welcome to book any flight that works for you. The first group meeting for this team will also take place on June 16th at 7:30 pm, with the first official workday beginning on June 17th at 8:30 am.

Hotel:

We have reserved a block of rooms at a hotel in both cities with a special group rate. While you may choose to book your own accommodations, we highly recommend taking advantage of the group rate and staying at one of these hotels.
