This year's event is titled The Pathway to Equity and Freedom: Dismantling Systems of Oppression through Public Health and Safety Reform.
The annual Chicago-Kent MLK Jr. Forum was established in 2016 to raise awareness about social justice issues impacting various communities in Chicago and beyond, identify potential causes of those issues and solutions and end with a call to action.
Through a discussion about current and developing Illinois legislation and policies designed to meet these goals, our guests will present ways in which law students, lawyers and members of the community at large can get involved in the fight for equity and freedom.
- Date: Thursday, January 19
- Time: 5:30-7:00 pm
- Location: Chicago-Kent College of Law 565 West Adams, Chicago IL 60661
