Why: Monterey Bay region has a unique ecosystem of diverse stakeholders in government, industry, education, and entrepreneurial sectors committed to growing the regional technology-based economy. Specifically, a Tech Hub is defined as a community that promotes innovation for technology-based companies. The collection of like-minded individuals working in various business sectors but focused on the use of technology creates a unique environment where individuals, ideas and companies that support both can thrive.  Initial focus of the MBTH is on advancing opportunities for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) development in the Tri-County region, with the goal to be expansive and inclusive. Supported by the pre-existing R&D AAM ecosystem in the region.
