By Discovery’s Summer Adventures Camp is inspired by artists both past and present; the natural world; and our own experiences, interests and dreams. Through painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, textiles, fiber art and sculpture, children will develop their skills and imagination to produce innovative works of art. By Discovery is facilitated by Jocelyne Adkins, Program Director & Co-Lead Educator; Stacey Grieff, Co-Lead Educator; and our talented Teaching Artists.
Jocelyne earned her Masters Degree in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has enjoyed teaching for 20 years. She founded By Discovery (formerly Beye Discovery) in 2011 and is inspired daily by her students’ imagination, creativity and enthusiasm! Stacey has a background in the Arts and Early Childhood Education. Her portrait photography career spanned 15 years and revealed her desire to work with youth in more impactful ways. She earned her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from The Erikson Institute, where she gained a deep knowledge of child development and research based instructional practices. Morning Session only, 9am - 12pm ($150 per week)
Afternoon Session only, 1pm - 4pm ($150 per week)
Morning + Afternoon Sessions, 9am - 4pm ($325 per week), please pack a lunch
Early Bird Drop Off: 8am - 9am (Add $40 per week)
Extended Day: 4 - 6pm (Add $80 per week)
*Adjusted Weekly Fee for the week of JULY 3, 5 - 7: No Class for the JULY 4TH HOLIDAY

PLEASE NOTE: A NUT FREE bagged lunch and snack from home are required for students who attend both the morning and afternoon sessions. Also, a snack and water bottle should be packed for those who attend only morning or afternoon sessions.

INVOICING:
Invoices are generated via "Wave" online accounting and emailed within 1 week of your registration confirmation. Payment information will be provided on your invoice and is also outlined below:
PAYMENT:
Payment is due within 1 week of your registration/invoice date. For those who make payment via monthly installments, the final payment must be made 1 week prior to your child's camp attendance. If timely payment is not made, the registration will be voided. Payment in full is required for cancellations made within 30 days of your child's camp session. Payment options include:

SCHOLARSHIPS:
A limited number of partial scholarships for both half-day (morning or afternoon sessions) and full-day enrollments are available. A child qualifies for the scholarship if she/he receives free or reduced lunches during the school year. Scholarship recipients are awarded a 50% reduction in program fees.
SIBLING DISCOUNT:
A 10% discount is awarded to families with 2 or more children enrolled at the same time in the summer program.
REGISTRATION:
Registration is first-come, first served. Enrollment is limited to 20-24 students per camp session.
COVID SAFETY:
We will follow all guidance from the CDC and State Health Departments should a Covid spike occur.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
-$35 fee per cancelled weekly session if notified 31 or more days prior to the start of the scheduled session
-No refunds are given should a cancellation occur within 30 days or less of your child's first participation day and for each session they are enrolled.
PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS: Should a session receive 6 or fewer participants, By Discovery reserves the right to cancel that session, however we are happy to enroll your child in another section if interested.
