Teatro SEA is seeking volunteers to support IPFFNYC this summer! Our festival is expected to reach thousands of audience-goers, and we are in search of motivated people who share a passion in theater, puppetry, the arts or anyone who likes to lend a helping hand! Volunteers will support our staff to help in any of the following ways, including but not limited to:
- Ushering patrons to the correct theater, answering questions from audience-goers and directing traffic
- Greet patrons and distribute programs
- Set up/clean up and preparation of performance spaces/holding areas
- Assist performing companies with questions/needs and connect them to the appropriate festival staff
- Set-up and/or take down of Box Office, Merchandise and Bar stations
- Support our staff in carrying out "front-of-house" tasks for Teatro SEA's FREE outdoor theater performances.
- Run last-minute errands as needed
- Be willing to help with any unforeseen task to ensure that the performances and festival run smoothly
Dates: August 1, 2023 – August 13, 2023
Benefits: All volunteers will get first-hand experience in the creation and production of a major international festival and complete access to all festival shows and events. Volunteers will be able to meet and network with artists, performers and producers from the performing companies. Ultimately, volunteers will have a complete week of cultural exposure in which they will become part of the Puppet Fringe Festival NYC family.
