GreenHacks Spring 2019 Pilot Registration
Participate in the premiere sustainability hackathon at Johns Hopkins University on April 20th, 2019!  Registration will be capped at 50 people, and participants will be selected on a first come, first serve basis.

GreenHacks is open to students from the Homewood campus, Bloomberg School of Public Health, Carey Business School, MICA, and other Hopkins-affiliated schools. Students will form teams in order to address specific sustainability challenges and will be judged on the creativity, feasibility, and impact of their ideas. We emphasize that participants can come from all areas of expertise, and solutions can come in any form ranging from well-thought out business proposals, mobile applications, to hardware prototypes, and so on. You may register as a team or individually.

Hackathon Theme: Sustainable Campus
To make Johns Hopkins a more sustainable campus and institution, we will challenge teams to present proposals within three tracks: food, energy, and waste. This theme will tie into the JHU Sustainability Coalition Town Hall’s theme of “Campus Culture”, which will be held that morning before the hackathon. For more information on the event, please see our website.

Please note: This is a pilot event to test our current event model and collect feedback in order to better organize a larger scale sustainability hackathon in Spring 2020. You will receive an email the week before the hackathon confirming your registration. If the event is full, you will be notified and added to a waitlist.
