Grade 1: Park Ride cycle training
With support from Hamilton City Council Bike Waikato is promoting ride training sessions held in a park setting and aimed at adults who want to gain confidence around biking on city pathways, roads and trails.

If you haven’t been on a bike in a while then this is a great way to refresh on the basics and pick up some new skills to make you a safe rider.

We’ll go over:
- How to correctly check and fit your helmet
- What to look for when doing a bike safety check
- Improved balance on a bike
- Some braking techniques
- How to use gears
- How to correctly give signals

All rides will be facilitated by a qualified instructor. All you need is your bike, helmet, covered shoes and a water bottle.
