Dear applicant,

I am so excited that you are considering joining us for World Youth Day 2023. Experiencing our faith in other countries and cultures has been hugely influential in my own spiritual life, and I am so excited to share in the great opportunities that Rome and Portugal have available to us.

This adventure, however, is very different than anything Life Teen has done. This is a true pilgrimage. We will be traveling thousands of miles from home, joining millions of people from all over the world, sleeping on the ground at times, eating strange cuisine, and growing in our faith in a way you never have before.

As you fill out this application, I ask that you pray carefully about coming on this trip. While it is exciting to travel the world, I want you to be prepared for what will be asked of you. At it’s core, this pilgrimage is aiming at helping you get to know God and grow in your relationship with him.

Please fill out and turn in this application, taking time to thoroughly and thoughtfully answer the questions. After you apply, Father Steve and I will look over the application and prayerfully consider your participation. We will then reach out to you to let you know if you have been accepted.
