SHARE or Sexual Health and Relationships Education is part of the Scottish Curriculum. We use resources from the Channel Four 'All About Us: Living and Growing DVD resource pack and from RSHP - Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood website,
Home - RSHP . On this site t
here are many videos and resources available for parents and carers to review and use to start conversations with their children. Across this resource, and in our school approach to RSHP education, there is an acknowledgement that parents and carers are the primary educators of their children.
In delivering RSHP education parents/carers will be given advance knowledge of topics and lessons.
By learning together at home and school we can help consolidate learning – it’s a partnership approach.
If you have any concerns about what your child learns about RSHP at school please speak to your child’s teacher.
A presentation for parents can be found on the school website. If you are interested in knowing more about SHARE and the topics covered, please come along to a workshop at school to learn more and ask questions.
