TARGET AUDIENCE:
K-12 Educators of Theater, Dance, English, Social Studies, and others interested in using the tools of theater and dance to reveal layers of meaning, deepen comprehension, and facilitate community building.
DETAILS:
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll draw upon the frameworks of Arts Lit, a free literacy resource from Brown University, to explore ways of entering, comprehending, and embodying different kinds of texts. This work is geared for K-12 educators in theater, dance, English, social studies, and others interested in using the tools of theater and dance to reveal layers of meaning, deepen comprehension, and facilitate community building.
The workshop facilitators are Mary Harding, Dance Education Specialist and Dr. Stephanie Lein Walseth, Theater Education Specialist in Professional Development and Resource Programs at Perpich Center for Arts Education.
There is no cost for this workshop, and 3 CEU hours are earned.
