Welcome to Evergreen’s Summer Camp 2019

6 Weekly sessions July 8th - August 15th, 2019.

Evergreen Summer Camp is a program specifically designed for children ages 2.6 years – entering 1st grade, running July 8th, – August 15th, 2019. This is a unique opportunity for your preschooler to join a high quality camp lead by experienced and professional teachers in the field of Early Childhood Education. Each weekly camp is uniquely themed that is age appropriate, safe, and well supervised.

Requirements:

A nutritious morning and afternoon snack is included in tuition, parents provide lunch. Please do not send any dessert type products with your child.
Please provide extra clothing for your child as we will engage in a multitude of messy activities.
Please make sure your child is thoroughly sun blocked each morning.
Children must be signed in and out each day at the front desk

****Note: Children must be potty trained.

Week 1: July 8th-12th. Music and Movement. CAMP SOLD OUT. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Children will have an opportunity to participate in a dance group and express emotions through movement. Children will stay busy and active with a mini jog-a-thon, parachute play, obstacle courses, and organized group games. We will explore rhythm and musical instruments with props and invited guests from our community.

Week 2: July 15th-19th. Creative Arts. CAMP SOLD OUT. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Children will use their imagination and original ideas to explore a variety of mediums in language, puppetry, paint, sensory materials and story telling. Activities will include collaging, beading, clay, face painting, carpentry, chalk and pastel drawings and so much more!

Week 3: July 22nd-26th, Healthy Cooking. CAMP SOLD OUT. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Each day children will participate in cooking projects such as sushi rolling, baking sugar-free, or making stone soup. We will also discuss the food pyramid and making healthy food choices. Children will discuss and explore the concept of farm to table and participate in planting a vegetable garden.

Week 4: July 29th-August 2nd, Community Helpers. CAMP SOLD OUT. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

We will have a variety of guests come to visit Evergreen to speak with children about their role in our community, such as; firefighters, police officers, doctors, dentists, and more.

Week 5: August 5th-9th, Animal Kingdom. CAMP SOLD OUT. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

This week we will explore various critters and creatures on our planet. Pets will come to visit and we will discuss the care and feeding of a variety of animals.

Week 6: August 12th-15th, Space, Math & Science. CAMP SOLD OUT. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Young engineers and scientists will be encouraged to think creatively and find out about the world around them through daily science projects & explore mathematical concepts such as graphing, sorting, classifying, and patterning. We will discuss our orbit and the planets and the importance of earth care!

Note: We will be closed Friday, August 16th, for a staff in-service day. Our Fall program begins on Monday, August 19th, 2019
