Peer Review is Vermont's Alternative Route to Vermont Teaching Certification. It involves submitting a portfolio of evidence that the candidate has met the beginning requirements of all licensed educators. The first part of one's portfolio is completed for initial license candidates and involves documenting evidence of the Core Teaching Standards, organized into three themes. The second part of one's portfolio involves documenting evidence of the performance and knowledge standards for one's area of licensure. Candidates wishing to add an endorsement to Vermont's License, need only complete Part 2 of the portfolio.
In the Peer Review Summer Workshop, participants will:
*learn about the peer review process and the requirements to apply.
*start the portfolio by using the Agency of Education Template.
*view examples of Peer Review Portfolios.
*set goals for completion.
*learn about the school year course offered through Vermont-NEA and Castleton University.
