Development of a navigation tool to assist visually-impaired users
Thank you for participating in this survey! We are excited to work on developing a navigation tool that we hope will be valuable to visually-impaired users, and look forward to engaging with you in the future as we progress on this project.

What is the purpose of this study? To create a phone-based tool that can aid in navigating outdoor areas for visually-impaired users.

What are the benefits in participating in this survey? Your responses will directly influence the focus and priorities of the tool we are developing. It will inform our understanding of how blind people currently navigate, as well as the tools these users seek to be available in the future.

How long will it take to complete the survey? Approximately 10-15 minutes.

What does the survey ask? Questions about how you usually navigate to places and what experiences you’ve had with different methods of navigation.

Do I have to answer every question? No. You may skip any question you do not wish to answer. You may end participation in the survey at any point.

How will confidentiality be maintained? This survey is completely anonymous, meaning that no personal information will be stored. Participation is completely voluntary and only the responses, not user information, will be shared.
