Support Groups at Borah
What is a Support Group? Support Groups are groups of 8-10 students that meet once a week for eight weeks to discuss emotional concerns and life. They are a way to meet with other students and talk/learn about yourself and connect with others. It is an opportunity to get extra emotional support if you are struggling. The purpose of a support group is to provide students with a comforting, safe environment where they feel free to express themselves. In addition to providing emotional support, group participation also allows you to establish meaningful and trusting relationships with peers. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Becky Woodland (school social worker) in the counseling office, at rebecca.woodland@boiseschools.org, at (208) 854-6916 or you can ask your Counselor.
