Activist Songbook Virtual Choir Interest Form
Activist Songbook, written by hip-hop poet/playwright Aaron Jafferis and composer Byron Au Yong is an ongoing performance project creating 53 new songs and raps to counteract hate and energize movements, based on interviews of Asian American, Asian immigrant, and Asian refugee organizers. The New Haven iteration of the project was meant to be presented live through the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, but we've since gone entirely virtual. Over the next 2 months, we'll be learning some of the songs and creating a series of videos to go along with them that will be posted on Activist Songbook and International Festival of Arts and Ideas social media.
Please fill out the information below and we'll be in touch with more information about how to record, and where to send your videos.
