The Presidential Honors Scholarship is available for students who exhibit excellent academic motivation and is designed to assist students with books and other educational expenses such as non-mandatory fees. Recipients of the scholarship will join the Honors College at Cleveland State. Click on this link for more information regarding the

Applicants must have at least a 3.5 high school GPA, complete the essay responses below, submit a letter of recommendation, and take part in a short interview upon
application to the Honors College as well.
Scholarship recipients will be selected from students who:* Submit a fully completed supplemental application for the Presidential Honors Scholarship. This includes submitting a letter of recommendation that speaks to their leadership qualities, work ethic, and/or academic motivation/future goals. This letter should be on official letterhead and written by an instructor, teacher, employer, or someone from an organization where the student volunteers. The letter can be submitted in one of two ways:
- mailed to Cleveland State Community College c/o Sara Amato, 3535 Adkisson Drive, Cleveland, TN 37320,
- or the official letter can be scanned and emailed from the professional's email to samato@clevelandstatecc.edu.
* Commit to joining the Honors College, enrolling in at least 12 credit hours, including at least one Honors course per semester. Students can receive this scholarship for a maximum of 4 semesters.
*Maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA to renew the scholarship each semester.
