We will match you with students and your mentoring session can happen anytime you prefer outside of the workshop during ICSE time. We'll pair you up with 1-3 students. We really appreciate your kindness and we hope this experience will make your ICSE trip more fun and meaningful! :)

Thank you for your interest in serving as the student mentor at ICSE 2023's Student Mentoring Workshop (SMeW)! More information on the workshop can be found on ICSE's website: https://conf.researchr.org/track/icse-2023/icse-2023-student-mentoring-workshop

The workshop will be at ICSE 2023 in Melbourne, Australia on May 16, Tuesday. Please make sure you can attend ICSE *in person*. The workshop program will be structured to encourage interaction and discussion. The format includes presentations (small portion), skill practice (e.g., networking practice right before ICSE starts!), small-group mentoring based on the topics of your interest, and panel discussions on topics of common interests.

You will be matched with specific students based on technical and non-technical interests. If you can attend the workshop, you will be expected to lead a small mentoring pod with your assigned students on the topics of your interests. Otherwise, we'll pair you up with students to meet during the ICSE week based on your availability.
