We are 99% full in all categories! Thank you for filling out this app. We will keep it on file and if we get cancellations we will reach out. Chances are you will not hear a response back from us at this point unless you are approved. Please consider joining us at our 2 weekend festivals. July 7-10 at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point and Sept 24-25 at Sunset Hill in Valpo. Thank you so much for your interest in our 2023 Cedar Lake Farmers Market beginning Wednesday, May 10, 2023 running the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month May thru October at 3pm!  Please fill out the application below if you’d like to participate in our market. Please note, submitting an application does not guarantee that you will be selected. We have a limited number of spaces and a competitive selection process.

NOTE: This is a farmers and artisan market!  All vendors welcome to apply, but note that we are FULL in the limited percentage of direct sales and MLM booths. We're always looking for local artisans, crafters, food trucks, food vendors, bakers, local farmers, etc.!  If accepted you will receive an invoice via the email address you provided. The invoice is due by the due date listed and there will be an assessed late fee if not received in time and/or booths will not be held until the invoice is paid.  

Vendors must provide all supplies (floor length tablecloth, heavy duty tape, outdoor rug in case of mud, grass clippings, weights, hammer, stakes, tables, canopy, battery operated lighting in the fall months, etc.) needed for set up and must keep their area clean and in good order at all times. Due to this being an outdoor market, electricity is not available, so please have your generator ready to go.

Booth size desired.  (We are currently filling Full Season participants first). Full season vendors' spot will stay consistent within a few feet, unless there's a reason discussed with the event coordinator and the booth vendor about a change for the future dates.  If a vendor misses and cannot attend, their spot will be filled with another booth but they will have their space back the following market.  We do not like any gaps and we will fill them in as best we can so there are no empty spaces.  We understand that sickness happens.  Please contact Kelly if you should fall ill the day of the market.  NOTE: We are only accepting full season applicants paying in 1 or 2 installments.  If you want to attend every market but pay per time, you need to fill out the NON-FULL season market application. *
I agree to pay my PayPal invoice by the due date listed on the invoice.  I am aware that if payment isn't received by said due date, I will be assessed a $15 late fee and my booth will not be held for that market date. *
Personal requests: (i.e. car needs to be parked near you, placement near a restroom for health reasons, placement by a friend's booth, specific location information, etc.  We cannot guarantee your request, but we do our best to accommodate.)
In some booths, there is an opportunity to use an additional 10 feet behind your booth, so it would be a deeper booth by about 20 ft instead of 10x10.  The cost is an additional $20 per market to utilize that space.  Would you like to add the additional backspace per market?

Splitting booths is permitted if you're interested, there is a fee of an additional $25 per 10x10 per market. Please comment below the other business name and note they would need to submit an application as well.
A canopy is REQUIRED to participate.  I agree to provide my own tent with weights.  (Note, an umbrella in place of a tent is NOT allowed.  All tents must be weighted as we sometimes get wind off of the lake.) *
I AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:  All supplies (chairs, tables, product, etc.) must be contained within the booth space purchased. If my set up exceeds the assigned space, I will be asked to adjust my booth space. Due to safety concerns, no exceptions will be made. All vendor property must remain fully intact until the event has officially ended at 7 or 8p (depending on date). All vendor equipment must be dismantled and removed from the grounds at the conclusion of the event.  If I use boxes, they need to be broken down and taken to the dumpster in the paved parking lot.  All trash MUST be removed from the grounds and my space must be removed of all debris before I exit.   *
I understand this is an outdoor market that runs through 3 different weather seasons which could include cold temperatures or extreme heat.  I acknowledge this fact and I will be prepared for such conditions by portable fans, cooling devices, proper attire, etc.  In the event I am unable to handle these temperatures for health reasons, I will personally reach out to Kelly in advance so she can be prepared. *
I agree to keep my pet leashed at ALL times (if bringing) and to clean up after he/she/them.  DOGS THAT YAP, BARK, NIP OR BITE WILL NOT BE WELCOMED BACK. *
I agree that if I cause any damage to the event space or its property, I will pay for any repairs and/or charges that incur. *
Do you have insurance? **If you are selling anything that will be consumed or applied to the body (food, lotions, bath products, etc.), you are required to carry insurance and provide a Certificate of Coverage and a form from your insurance company listing The Cedar Lake Farmers Market, as additionally insured. *
I understand that I'm required to collect my own sales tax. *
We ask that you follow the requirements for being a participant by sharing the main Facebook events each market on your personal and business pages.  We have a strong emphasis on social media and ask that you post fresh info on each market day on either Facebook and/or Instagram on your business or personal pages to help promote your personal business at the market. In doing this it helps you and the other entrepreneurs gain more traffic flow. We will have step by step information provided for you in our private Facebook group to help you, if this is something new to you. Kelly, the event coordinator, is also happy to walk you through this over the phone or in person if needed.  Also, reach out to Kelly if you would like information on upcoming classes on using social media to grow your own business?  Do you agree to follow these requirements? *
In the event of rain, we will usually remain open, but will close for severe weather.  I understand that booth fees are non-refundable for severe weather or any other reason.  Due to the market being primarily in grass, in the event of heavy or all day rain, we may need to cancel so cars don't get stuck, please look to the Facebook group for additional information on day of.   *
In the event the market is cancelled due to circumstances beyond Cedar Lake Farmers Market's control, I understand my booth fee will not be refunded. In the event of government shutdowns, payments will be forwarded to a future date.  If no future date is available, refunds will be given minus the PayPal and administrative fees. *
