Kansainvälinen Jean Sibelius -viulukilpailu hakee artistioppaita työskentelemään kilpailun ajalle 18.-29.5.2025 (tarkempi aikataulu alla) Sibelius-Akatemian tiloissa ja Musiikkitalossa. Haku sulkeutuu perjantaina 11.4., ilmoitamme haun etenemisestä keskiviikkona 16.4.
Artistioppaan tärkein tehtävä on auttaa kilpailuvuorossa olevaa kilpailijaa hakemalla hänet kilpailupäivänä harjoitusluokasta omaan esiintymisvuoroonsa, auttaa kilpailijan toivomalla tavalla ja saattaa kilpailija esiintymislavalta takaisin harjoitusluokkaan.
Kilpailun aikataulu artistioppaille:
su 18.5. ensimmäinen harjoituspäivä, jolloin kilpailijat harjoittelevat pianistien kanssa R-talon konserttisalissa ja pianistien luokissa sekä harjoitusluokissa.
Kaikki artistioppaat paikalla klo 10-14 R-talossa, jolloin heidät perehdytetään tehtävään ja he opastavat kilpailijoita harjoitusluokkiin ja saliin.
Alkuerät ma 19.- ke 21.5. R-talo, klo 9-15 ja 16-21
Jokaiseen kilpailuerään tarvitaan yksi opas kerrallaan.
to 22.5. vapaapäivä, kilpailun välipäivä
Välierät pe 23.- su 25.5. R-talo, klo 9-14.30 ja 16-21.30
Ma 26.5. klo 9.30-15.00 Musiikkitalo. Välipäivä kilpailusta. Finalisteilla Ylen kuvauksia Musiikkitalolla ja tapaamisia kapellimestareiden kanssa. Opastukseen tiloissa tarvitaan 2 artistiopasta.
Finaalit ti 27.- to 29.5. Musiikkitalo
Klo 9-15 kilpailijoiden harjoitukset orkestereiden kanssa,
klo 17-21.30 konsertit
Artistioppaat saavat opintopisteiden (27h/1op) lisäksi finaaliliput niihin tilaisuuksiin, missä he itse eivät ole työvuorossa. Tehtäviä voidaan jakaa sovitusti. Kilpailutoimiston johtaja johtaa artistioppaiden työtä. Artistioppaat pääsevät kuuntelemaan kilpailuja oman työvuoron ulkopuolella.

The international Jean Sibelius Violin Competition is looking for artist guides to work during the competition between 18.-29.5.2025 (detailed schedule below) at Sibelius Academy's spaces and the Music Centre. The application period closes on Friday 11.4. and we will notify the applicants on how the recruitment process continues on Wednesday 16.4.
The artist guide's most important task is to help the competitors by bringing them from the rehearsal rooms to the stage when it's their time to perform, help the competitors in any way that they wish and bring the competitors back to their rehearsal room from the stage.
Competition schedule for the artist guides:
Sunday 18.5. the first day of rehearsals, the competitors rehearse with the pianists at R-Building's concert hall and rehearsal rooms.
All of the artist guides are needed at R-Building between 10am-14pm, when they will be briefed and will guide the competitors to rehearsal rooms and the concert hall.
First rounds Monday 19.- Wednesday 21.5. R-Building, at 9am-15pm and 16pm-21pm
One artist guide is needed in every competition round.
Thursday 22.5. day off, no competition rounds
Second rounds Friday 23.- Sunday 25.5. R-Building, at 9am-14.30pm ja 16pm-21.30pm
Monday 26.5. day off, no competition rounds
Finals Tuesday 27.- Thursday 29.5. Music Centre
At 9am-15pm competitors' rehearsals with the orchestras,
at 17pm-21.30pm final concerts
In addition to study points (27h / 1 study point), the artist guides will receive tickets to the final concerts they are not working in. Tasks can be divided between the artist guides however is agreed. The head of the competition office will supervise the artist guides' work. Outside of work shifts the artist guides will get to listen to the competitions.
