“Gross, there’s so much dust in this attic!” you think as you shake your head and watch dust fly in the sunbeams drifting down from the window.  “I don’t even understand why I have to be here, on the last day of summer break, cleaning out old junk from the attic in our new house.”                                                                      

You kick an old wooden cupboard in frustration.  “Ow!” you shout as your big toe makes contact with the cupboard.  As you hop around clutching your aching foot, you hear a creepy, slow creaking sound.
