Registration to participate in the Grand Prix of Europe and SEGL - Youth League - Finland


Invitation - International Espoo Grand Prix 2021

Old Power Association is happy and proud to invite your club team to
take part in the 1st edition of the International Espoo Grand Prix,
which will be held in Espoo, Finland on 15th - 17th October 2021. The
event is part of the European Grand Prix competition designed by the
European Goalball Club Association (EGCA) to start on year 2021. The
event is also a part of the 75th anniversary celebration of goalball!

There will be three different tournaments during this super weekend of goalball:
- International tournament for the men's national teams (invitation tournament)
- EURO GRAND PRIX (Euro GP)
* The main teams of European goalball clubs that do not participate in
the SEGL – Champions League (SEGL) during that sports season can
participate actively;
* Clubs from European countries outside the organizing country can
actively participate;
* Clubs which are competing for SEGL – Champions League can
participate as guests with their first team. The games played by these
teams are considered friendly, not influencing the final result of the
classification of that country's GP stage;
* A SEGL club that participates as a guest can also enroll a GP team,
in which case athletes are prevented from representing the main team
(SEGL) that season;
* Athletes from each gender who comply with IBSA standards can participate;
* In addition, a maximum of 2 unclassified players may be deployed on
the field at the same time;
* Also 2 foreign players are accepted / GP team during the season;
* An athlete may only represent one club in official EGCA competitions
each season and only one team in Euro GP.
- SEGL YOUTH LEAGUE (SEGL-U23)
* All the goalball clubs in Europe are invited to participate in SEGL
Youth League;
* Athletes, who have born on 1998 or later are available to participate;
* Athletes from each gender who comply with IBSA standards can participate;
* Teams can be consisted by boys, girls or mixed;
* In addition, a maximum of 2 unclassified players may be deployed on
the field at the same time;
* Also 1 foreign player can be accepted / SEGL-U23 team during the season;
* An athlete may only represent one club in official EGCA competitions
each season and only one team in SEGL-U23.

Attention! The Euro GP tournament will be played if there are minimum
four participating clubs from two different countries. SEGL-U23
tournament will be played, if there are minimum three participating
clubs from two different countries.

SCHEDULE
- Friday 15th October 2021 (arrival of teams)
- Saturday 16th October 2021 (competition Day 1, special evening)
- Sunday 17th October 2021 (Competition Day 2, medal ceremony, departure)

VENUE
The event will be organized under high quality facilities; there are
two halls (The Sport Hall Of Tapiola and Honka Hall) which both were
the arenas of the IBSA Goalball World Championships 2014. Both halls
are located at the same area, the distance between halls are just 50
metres. There are high standard changing rooms in the halls. There are
also big spectator areas to follow the matches and also cafeteria
areas to spend time during breaks in both halls.

ACCOMMODATION & MEALS
Accommodation will be organized in double or triple rooms at the high

Breakfast and dinner will be served at the hotel. Lunch will be served
at the venue.

SPECIAL DINNER
We love to offer you some special dinner after a hard goalball day,
which includes some traditional Finnish food, a couple of short
speeces and great music. You will be totally relaxed, you can talk
with your friends and find new ones.

PARTICIPATION FEE
Participation fee is 215 € / person and it includes:
Friday 15th October 2021
- Transportation from the International Helsinki Airport, central
railway station of Helsinki or the Helsinki harbour to the hotel;
- Dinner at the hotel;
- Accommodation in double or triple rooms.
Saturday 16th October 2021
- Breakfast at the hotel;
- Transportation from the hotel to the venue;
- Lunch at the venue;
- Transportation from the venue to the hotel;
- Transportation between the hotel and the special dinner place if needed;
- Accommodation in double or triple rooms.
Sunday 17th July 2021
- Breakfast at the hotel;
- Transportation from the hotel to the venue;
- Lunch at the venue;
- Transportation from the venue to the airport, railway station or harbour.

INSURANCES & HEALTH
Please take care that all of the members of your team will have own
insurance during your stay in Finland. There are always first-aid
equipments in the halls and we will provide transportation, if some
member of your team have to visit in a hospital.

VISAS
We are able to write a personal invitation letter for your team, if needed.

REGISTRATION
- Please fill carefully this digital registration form to take part in
the International Espoo Grand Prix 2021 tournament

- Deadline of the registration is Thursday 2nd September 2021.
- We will announce the participating teams of the event on Friday 3rd
September 2021.
- We will send the invoice of the participation fees and entry form
finally on Monday 6th September 2021.
- Deadline of the payments will be on Monday 20th September 2021.
- Deadline to return the entry form will be also on Monday 20th September 2021.

IN CASE OF CANCELLATION
- If the tournament would be cancelled by the organizer, we will
return all the participation fees, that you have already paid;
- If you must cancel your participation in some serious reason as
travel restrictions or some harm of corona virus pandemic, we will
return participation fees, that you have already paid;
- In any other cases the participation fees will not be returned.
