Nomination for a co-sponsored speaker
IUNI is interested in co-sponsoring 10-15 distinguished external speakers on the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses in the upcoming academic year. If your department is considering (or has already invited) a speaker whose work involves networks, please feel free to nominate them in the form below. IUNI can either provide your department with $1,000 to support speaker travel, honorarium, meals, or reception expenses or we can help arrange these details ourselves.

Our requests for co-sponsored speakers are that you allow us to co-brand and advertise these talks broadly (the talks must be open to the university community)and that we are able to live-stream their talks so that all our university campus partners can watch (recording and archiving is optional). We would also like to reserve some time for speakers to meet with IUNI research scientists and associated graduate students if possible.

Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted. We recommend your application be submitted by March 30 for best consideration. We would also be happy to discuss future year speakers as well.

Please note that we do not encourage you to nominate job candidate talks through this call, but we can discuss it with you. If your department has an upcoming job talk by a networks scholar that you would like us to help promote or a candidate we can help you recruit in other ways, we would be more than happy to assist.
