Thank you for your interest in my Spanish Immersion classes. I am glad you are here!
My classes are fun and interactive. I use songs, videos and manipulatives to teach children foundational concepts of the Spanish language. I was born and raised in Colombia and lived there for 19 years so when your children come to class they will be hearing latin american Spanish spoken by a native :) I keep my classes as immersed in the language as possible and I teach through games, worksheets and books. We will be learning about alphabet, numbers, greetings, animals, transportation, professions, parts of the house and more!
CLASS EXAMPLE:
- Student arrives we review the calendar (songs and videos)
- Alphabet/number review (active games or board games like hangman, bingo, etc.)
- Topic introduction (Teacher presents the topic using the whiteboard, posters and puppets)
- Application (worksheets, and/or games)
- Snack and read aloud
- Active game (I spy, Simon says, Duck, Duck, Goose, etc.)
CLASS INFO:- LEVEL ONE (ages 3-6) for students new to my class last year (2022) and/or joining in the fall. The class will meet every Monday from 3-4 pm.
- LEVEL ONE (ages 7-10)
for students new to my class last year (2022) and/or joining in the fall. The class will meet every Monday from 4-5 pm.
- LEVEL TWO, for students who have been with me for over a year. The class will meet every Tuesday from 3:15-4:15 pm.
- Classes will begin 9/4th and run through 5/15 (December off and a few holidays observed like Thanksgiving, Easter, and Spring Break). Because we are a homeschooling family with flexibility, we won't observe other common holidays, so plan to bring your kids to class. I will provide a detailed calendar in the fall.
TUITION $18/class paid by the month during the
first class of the month. Tuition is non-refundable. If I have to cancel due to illness I will prorate the cost of the class to next month's tuition.
