NGN Competitive Events
NGN Competitive events support our mission of educating and engaging the next generation in solving local and global issues presented in the NGN 2120 Goals. Annually, NGN sets up competitive events for the Club NGN members, high school-based and community-based membership clubs.
Our SpeakUp Event consists of our top 3 speakers over the year and throughout the course of NGCC 2021; these 3 speakers will each have their own mini-event in which our participants will join in to hear their inspiring actions. (not open for registration).
Our vPodcast Event is for our most successful Podcast group; they will have a 30 minute mini episode before our awards ceremony on the evening of the closing day. (not open for registration).
Our Policy event is for those interested in politics, business, non profit efforts, and more. In this event, competitors will compete to make either a business proposal or a political proposal to attack a problem in the world. Sometimes the proposal is for a non-profit organization like the United Nations and sometimes you will simply be trying to make the best business product, proposal, and pitch.
Our STEM event is for those interested in software, technology, engineering, cyber security, hardware, I.T, and more. In this event you will take a technological approach to solve a problem in the modern day world. Our STEM event focuses on using technology to better developing countries and those in need.
What are the NGN2120 Goals and Global Issues?
Current global issues are a burden to the next generations. NGN2120 goals were developed by the Next Generation Nations (NGN) corporation in 2017. NGN is 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Twenty-one goals were developed for the next generation to take action to end the world's toughest issues like climate change, poverty, hunger, clean water, corruption, violence, human rights, gender equality and many more. NGN2120 goals also include modern goals like the need to integrate safely artificial intelligence and robotics in human society, and championing space technology to protect earth from space threats.
