4.4 Unless damage renders a hull, sail, spar or foil unusable during an event, only one hull, sail, mast, boom, sprit, daggerboard and rudder shall be used throughout the event. Any such change of equipment shall be authorised by the Technical Committee or in its absence by the Race Committee.

The form below only applies to Main Fleet.

Sailors in Regatta Racing and Coached Regatta fleets do not need to complete this form. Sailors in Regatta Racing and Coached Regatta do need a current buoyancy test for their boat (ie within the last year).

The form below is a declaration of the sail to be used during the event and the current buoyancy test. The equipment being used may be checked by a class measurer or event equipment inspector on or off the water.

If you need to change the sail you are planning to use after you have completed this form but prior to the event, please email technical@optimist.org.uk Once the event has started, please contact the Race Office regarding any change of equipment
