At Paper Oranges, we believe that everyone has a story to tell and there are many untold stories around us. Some of these stories aren't in history books or known to people because of lack of exposure. Many Asian-American experiences are not known and we would love to share these experiences with people, let it be if you were made fun of in school for having "Asian" habits or brought "Asian" experiences to your friends or if family immigration experiences have shaped you to who you are today or parents pushed you to pursue a career in STEAM. Regardless of the experiences, we would love to hear your story of what life is like as an Asian-American.
The criteria is:
-Must be Asian-American
-Must be in or currently studying a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math) discipline
-Must be able to communicate remotely
-Age Range: no preference
-Gender: no preference
We understand that if these stories are not told then they will be lost with time and we would love to preserve and share these stories with the rest of the world.
The story that you tell will be made into a short comic with less than 10 images and shared on Instagram. These could be your own personal stories or stories of your family.
We understand that some people like to remain anonymous. If this is you, we would still love to hear your story and will respect your privacy. Please indicate that you would like to remain anonymous in the name section.
The first section of this is a short survey so that we could get to know you more. The second section will be where you can tell your story.
Thank you for your time and we look forward to hearing your story!
