As we
continue to foster collaboration and excellence within our community, we are
excited to announce an opportunity for active participation and engagement: a
call for volunteers to join various NAFTNet committees.
Our
committees play a crucial role in shaping the direction of NAFTNet. By
volunteering, you have the chance to contribute your expertise, share your
insights, and actively participate in the decision-making processes that drive
our organization forward.
Committees
seeking volunteers:
Scientific Review Committee - The SRS will be charged with the initial review of
studies proposed to NAFTNet as well as provide support for study proposals to
ensure optimal scientific merit and feasibility. Ad hoc study groups may be
created from the SRS to support development of research projects. As available,
the SRS will provide input to the board to determine studies eligible to
receive any available NAFTNet funding support. (Must have prior experience on a research review committee)
Innovation Commitee - Promote and establish NAFTNet’s capabilities and
strategic direction in matters of technology and innovation that improves
patient care and advances the field of fetal therapy.
Membership Committee - Subcommittee is charged with establishing qualifications for NAFTNet membership.
The subcommittee is charged with reviewing all members every 2 years to
determine membership eligibility status as outlined in section B and C and making
recommendations to the Board regarding membership status.
Publication Committee - Ensure the quality of NAFTNet publications. Develop rules to work with existing database groups, ie MMC. Ensure
the proper conduct of NAFTNet publication rules. There is an open position for Chair of this committee.
Quality/Outcomes Committee - Establish
benchmark outcomes for fetal intervention. Work with CHNN to establish
collaborative data. Develop benchmark/outcomes program. Develop/publish
guidelines for fetal therapy/diagnosis.
Ethics Committee - Support
and promote NAFTNet the protects the rights of patients including shared
decision-making and provide healthcare teams with clarity on innovation and
research while maintaining the highest level of evidence-based practice.
Communications/Website
Committee - Manage and
promote the public activities of NAFTNet in regards to policy, scholarly
activities, research, and patient advocacy. Review website content, evaluate
user experience, monitor accessibility, identify technical issues, provide
feedback and website content.
Advocacy Committee - Align with the NAFTnet mission to increase the public
awareness and policy direction for patient advocacy
relationships, access to care, disparities in fetal therapy
Finance Committee - Provide the financial oversight of NAFTNet while ensuring long-term
financial stability of the organization.
Education Committee - Develop, promote, and implement programs and activities
that provide members and trainees with the highest level of knowledge and skill
in fetal therapy/diagnosis. External Post-graduate
programs. Fellowships/training.
